Our Story

In 1991 Lindsay Rand and his family moved to Delhaven, Nova Scotia. They purchased a century home surrounded by 4 acres of farmland. Lindsay wasted no time in purchasing some strawberry plants and tilling the fields. With three young children eager to spend time outdoors, he had his first three employees – Wes, Emily, and Elaine (W.E.E.). Over the years they, along with Lindsay’s wife Joan, and several of his nine siblings, helped out in the fields – planting, picking rock, spreading straw, uncovering berries, hoeing, placing runners, manning the stand, answering phone calls, and of course, picking!

Over the years, many berries have been picked, sold, and of course enjoyed by many. Come by to enjoy some yourself, or pick your own. Wes, Emily, and Elaine have all grown up by now, but you may catch some of their own children between the rows.
